Concept 01 · Basketball shop

Halflight

A store that starts on the court.

A basketball shop that began as a Thursday pickup game under one flickering lamp. Real court footage tells the story, from the night run to the day game, then opens onto the store: filters, quick view and a cart. Self-initiated, not client work.

Concept 02 · Travel agency

Meridian

Every journey starts at the window seat.

A small crew of travellers in Lisbon who plan journeys by hand. The site opens on a departure board, takes off from seat 1A, then flies you round a live 3D globe of routes to Tokyo, Paris, Bali and beyond, and ends with postcards from the road. Self-initiated, not client work.

Concept 03 · Pasta restaurant

Filo

Every strand cut by hand.

A pasta atelier in a Georgian townhouse on Mount Street, Mayfair, where two cooks roll and cut by hand in the front window. The site serves it like a tasting menu: the window, the flour and the hour, four signature plates, the dining room and its cellar, then a table to reserve. Self-initiated, not client work.

Concept 04 · Coffee roastery

Little Kiln

Coffee, fired slow.

A roastery and bake house inside a 1920s pottery kiln on Potters Row. Roasted twice a week, baked before sunrise. The site is built for ordering ahead: browse the coffee, tea and bakery menu, build a drink exactly the way you like it, and pick it up warm. Self-initiated, not client work.

Concept 05 · Alpine hotel

Chesa Lej Alv

A house on the frozen lake.

A grand hotel on the south shore of Lake St. Moritz, 1,856 metres up and in the same family since 1911. Forty-one rooms and suites, three tables and a bar on the ice. The site is built for a quiet kind of luxury: live St. Moritz weather in the corner, suites that open into floor plans, a winter on the lake told picture by picture, and booking from the first screen. Self-initiated, not client work.
